it was a free download on itunes and i really enjoy it....its called my ex-lover is dead and it is by the stars.....
...today is the saddest day of the year?
because
a. it is suppose to be the coldest day (atleast we got a +5)
b. this is the day most people quit their new years resolutions (but seriously new years resolutions are for improvement in the year...if you break it one day try again the next!!)
c. christmas bills start floating in (i am taking the dan approach here and say it doesn't matter if you are going to work the next day)
so all you guys that are celebrating the saddness don't worry tomorrow will be better!

It has become so easy to forget about writing on the blog and I apologize for that. Today I'm sitting and scanning old photo albums so I thought I would write on here while I remembered! I had the most relaxing and lazy weekend...I did nothing but watch tv on dvd, realized how funny 'Scrubs' is, and have become obsessed with '24' (starting with season 1 - I've got a lot of catching up to do!)
Something has gotten me very excited today - have any of you heard of this yet? It's got a title and everything!
I've become something I never thought I would - an avid and (sometimes) overzealous online shopper. Some days it feels like all I do is sit online and shop/browse/wish/comtemplate! But it's so tempting, especially when I come across things like this, which is a beautiful book. Or even this which looks so damn cute. Or maybe I'll just buy some of this or this for some fantastic projects. Yup - I'm officially obsessed.
So that's it for now...hopefully you become inspired. And happy Monday. I'm off to coffee now.

you know that friday song..."I just wanna bang on the drum all day!"? I was singing it to Dennis earlier to get him out of his funk but he just told me to stop or he'd hit me! Some people just don't appreciate good entertainment! So I'm off to Red Deer in half an hour - I figure a half day would even out my tough full week. I mean, you can't go wrong with taking Monday off, then being snow-bound on Wednesday (or just not wanting to drive across the city in a blizzard), and then a half day on Friday. I love it! Anyway, that's my plan...should be back tomorrow sometime (no promises set in stone, yet!)
Have a good one - casey!

Hey everyone...
Sorry for the lack of posts - it's been crazy at work for the past week, and I stayed home yesterday out of sheer exhaustion. So today I'm back to feeling well rested and (as they say in Sal's favourite Taco Bell commercials) GOOD TO GO!
Had a pretty good weekend in Calgary - Sal spent a lot of time talking about fish with Vic, and we all spent a lot of time drinking at night! Good news though...Sal is DOWNSIZING his ginormous tank and we're getting a nice little 2-foot cube tank. I'm very excited. Saturday I spent the day with Loy doing fabric shopping and thrift store shopping and we found the COOLEST little vintage/consignment store! I wanted to buy all of the formica tables and vintage hats.
Like I said, yesterday I stayed home and slept in and relaxed. It was wonderful! I think Sal has become hooked on watching Roswell with me - he won't let me watch any of the episodes without him now. Then last night we saw a sneak preview of the movie PAN'S LABYRINTH. It was one of the coolest movies I've seen in a long time. Actually, cool isn't the word. More like beautiful and haunting. Sal was a bit nervous before it started because Ryan (Megan's boyfriend, who invited us) told Sal it was a bit of a scary movie. But he was fine, and although the flick had some frightening parts he really enjoyed it! But be warned - it is a Spanish movie with subtitles. Sal was happy to hear that as he could understand the movie without reading!
So that's it for now...talk to you soon!

p.s. my resolution is to Bring Back Disco!

I'm still finding it unbelieveable that it is already January of 2007!!
Hopefully everyone had a fun and safe new years celebration! We sure did - in fact, I'm pretty sure Sal fell in love with his bottle of rum and then fell in love (again) with his bag of cheetos! Went to a girl's place who he went to school with and we ended up taking the bus home afterwards. Gotta love free transit! Even in his drunken stupor Sal was still able to bitch about how much he hates taking the bus here. It was really really funny!
Back to work this week, and it has been easier to get back into the swing of things than I thought it would! I mean, especially since all I did over the holiday break was watch tv and movies, eat, and sew a bit. it was really really wonderful!
Anyway, it's already hump day which means only two and a half days left in this short week...have a good one!
Oh - question of the day: what was your favourite christmas present to give and receive?
Mine: to give was the embroidery of elephants I gave Megan, and I loved the little drawer set Sal gave me (and the fabric store gift certificate and the quilting book and scarf set...it's too hard to choose!)
